30 minutes four times a week of cardio and Bikram Yoga, which I love.
Negative Consequences:
When I exericise, I feel better about myself. I feel less stressed and more about to let go of my work day. I sleep better, if that is possible, and I feel more relaxed.
Triggers:
I am taking a class with a friend once or twice a week, which makes it easier. Even when I do cardio alone, it helps that I have excerised with a friend on the other days, because I feel more motivated to continue. I tend to work out later in the evening when I do cardio which is something I have not done before. I used to think I would be more successful if I worked out right after work or even in the morning, but I like doing it later.
I just need to do it. If I think about it, I can rationalize a reason not to do it. Creating a routine is very helpful. Also, working out with a friend is a very helpful strategy.
NüLife:
Life with this habit is less stressful, more relaxing, and overall, more enjoyable. I feel less like a slug and more alive. I am not as tired and want to get out, and I even feel more confident.
