Collectively, we have 139,262 days of experience living in the solution.

Use NüHabits to connect with people who are trying to develop the same new habits as you.  From curbing overspending to pursuing healthy relationships, any habit is fair game.

For example, do you want to overcome your insatiable desire to eat ice cream right before bed?  By personal experience, we can assure you that you are definitely not alone!  So seek out others with the same pre-bedtime munchies!

See what worked for them, what didn't, and what they recommend you do to cut out that late night Häagen-Dazs!

The only requirement for membership is the desire to change.
NüHabits promotes two types of learning,
both personal and interpersonal.

Personal Learning:  once you are a registered member we encourage you to set up a habit profile for each of the habits that you are trying to change.  In doing so you will be able to gain a greater understanding of your patterns.  Knowing your patterns enables you to change them!

Interpersonal Learning:  our egos will have us believe that we are completely self-sufficient. This couldn't be further from the truth. We are all personally responsible for the actions we take in our lives, but we need to remain open-minded to new ideas and new strategies. So research other members' habit profiles, ask questions in the group forums, and seek the fresh ideas that might benefit you.
Share your experience with others.

Share your successes, your struggles, your thoughts, your hopes, and your dreams.  An amazing thing happens when you share with others about who you are, where you come from, and where you want to go.  You become accountable for these things that comprise your life.

We encourage all members to find a mentor for guidance, it is not required but highly recommended.  So beyond helping yourself, you have the potential to help those who find this site after you.  You can become a guide to those who seek one.
Life is a process. We are a process. The universe is a process.   -Anne Wilson Schaef

Just as support groups have been proven successful in helping people break addictions, NüHabits can help you identify with others and create a sense of direction and accountability in your life.

However, none of the real work is going to be done on this website.  The real work is going to be done in your life, at your own mini-crossroads that are occuring constantly.  You already know what awaits if you take a left down the trodden path.
But if you choose to take a right and tread off the map, the possibilities are endless.

So strap on your hiking boots, and be sure to watch for thorns.

NüHabits is a new social network for people looking to improve the quality of their lives, one habit at a time.  We are working toward achieving the peace of mind that results from developing positive habits.

It is our belief that we must take an honest look at our less-than desirable qualities, for they are our greatest opportunities for growth.  If we do not fully commit to changing when our moment of willingness strikes, we run the risk of indefinitely putting it off until tomorrow.

Our goal is to help each other bridge the gap between desire and change.

So, what would you like to change today?
NüHabits is a FREE self-funded grassroots effort. As such, donations are greatly appreciated, and are used to displace hosting & development expenses.

Can you spare 10 pence?  If so, feed the piggy.  If not, no sweat.
